Get the Huawei Honor 5X for Just $199.99

The handset that PCMag named the best phone at CES has arrived in the U.S.

At first glance, the Laurels 5X looks like a premium telephone, but it'll fix you dorsum simply $199.99. A subsidiary of Chinese smartphone giant Huawei, Honor has been around for ii years, but its handsets accept been express to Prc and other Eastern markets until now.

The phone is currently available via Honor's website too as Amazon and Newegg.

In terms of specs, the Honor 5X, which comes in gold, silver, or gray, has a v.5-inch one,920-past-one,080 IPS LCD brandish, a mid-range Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a solid 3,000 mAh battery. Other features include a 13-megapixel rear-facing photographic camera, v-megapixel front end-facing shooter, an attractive all-metallic build (which Accolade said was inspired by the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Kingdom of spain), and a fingerprint sensor with a "fast 0.5-second unlocking time."

As we noted in our review, the handset runs Android five.0 Lollipop, but Huawei's EMUI iii.1 software layer is designed to arrive look more than similar iOS. On the downwardly side, "both iOS and stock Android run a lot smoother than EMUI," we wrote. "The UI layer is heavy with background processes, which slows your overall performance down."
