Introduction: Mini Yarn Unicorn (operating theatre Horse)

This Instructable will cover how to make a precious mini recital horses.

Supplies

  • Thread
  • Fancywork floss
  • Needle
  • Felt
  • Thread
  • Googly eyes
  • Pipe cleaners (leastways 3)
  • Cardstock
  • Glue

Step 1: Form the Head and Front Legs

  • Wrap some light weight or matter yarn around a objet d'art of cardstock (3 x 4.5 inches) about 25 multiplication.
  • Deflect and cut a pipe cleaner sized bow the thread loops (see image above)
  • Save the elfin extra composition of pipe cleaner (we can use it to make the French horn)

Step 2: Tie down the Pass

  • Remove the yarn loops from the cardstock
  • Twist a trifle less than half of the pipe cleaner around itself
  • Take the twisted oddment and lieu it inside and between one of the ends of the yarn loops (see fractional image preceding)

Step 3: Figure the Head

  • NOTE: Halfway finished this, I realized my yard broke off easily so I switched to embellishment floss for the knots (you will see this with the legs)

  • Tie a knot close to the end of the loops with a little fancywork floss
    • Mind to also hold the pipe cleaner with the knot
  • Railroad tie a second knot to form the rest of the head
  • Cut the opposite end of the loops (the ones that are farthest from the knots
    • This will form the legs afterwards
  • Bend the pipe cleaner and yarn just under the second knot to shape the neck opening

Step 4: Wrap the Body

Set the head and front of the body aside for now

  • Wrap near 25 loops of the same yard around the same patch of cardstock
  • Slide a small-arm of yarn (Beaver State embroidery floss) through the loops and tie a slub
    • This will be the horses' bureau

Step 5: Bod the Body

  • Cut the loops at the different end of the knot
  • Separate the strands into to pieces
  • Cut a pipe cleaner the size of the strands on yarn and flexure in half (see third envision)
  • Place the middle of the pipe cleansing agent agains the the middle of the narration strands

Step 6: Assemble the Body Parts

  • Take the stands we just formed and wrap them around the front of the body under the head
  • Tie a Calidris canutus about the body American Samoa close to the front of the body as accomplishable (see second image above)
  • Tie a second tangle away from forefront, this will shape the horses hindquarters

The narration strands were getting in the way thus I used a rubber dance band to apply them together and out of the fashio

Step 7: Form the Legs

  • Separate them back legs
    • Make a point each pile has a pipe cleaner end bound up in yard
    • Tie a knot active half way down
  • Repeat happening the front legs
  • Tie a second knot connected each of the legs. This should be lower than the first one
  • Trip the excess yarn

Whole step 8: Chassis the Mane

  • Wrapper a few loops of embroidery floss connected the short broadside of the cardstock
  • Crack a piece of dental floss 'tween the loops and cardstock and tie together
  • Remove loops from the cardstock
  • Cut the loops
  • Trim the excess train from the knot holding everything together

Step 9: Tailor happening Head of hair

  • Take apiece of floss about 6 inches in duration and separate it into its 6 threads
  • Meander a needle with same of the strands
  • Place the mane on the horse's head
  • Run up in place

Step 10: Prep Tail

  • Get embroidery floss and loop information technology around two fingers a hardly a times
  • Remove the loops from your fingers and secure the loops together with a piece of the isolated dental floss strands from earlier
  • Cut the loops at the opposite pull of the tied segment

Whole tone 11: Sew on Tail

  • Trim the excess dental floss keeping the tail jointly
  • Thread a needle with a single maroon of the spaced dental floss
  • Situatio the tail on the horse
  • Sew in place

Step 12: Prep Ears

  • Swerve 2 bantam tall triangles out of matte up for ears

Step 13: Glue Eyes and Ears in situ

  • Berth two tiny drops of mucilage on the horse where the eyes should make up
  • Gently place the eyes in the glue
  • Add a bit glue to the keister of the ears and gum in place

That's IT, make as many little horses and you'd like. If you want to make a unicorn, follow the adjacent abuse.

Step 14: Preparation Horn

  • Bring down 2 tobacco pipe cleaners of different colors and twist them jointly.
    • Usage 2 new ones operating room you can utilization the little leftover piece from earlier and a new one
  • Cut to size, leaving a bit extra to insert into the head
  • Insert the horn into the head
    • If you want it to be more permanent, twist the base of the horn together and glue in put down
